The ingredients needed to make Sugar Doughnuts:
- Prepare 500 gFlour
- Take Pinch salt
- Prepare Butter (I used liquid cooking oil)
- Use 2 teaspoon baking powder
- Prepare 2 teaspoon vanilla Essence
- Get 4 eggs (I used 2eggs)
- Provide Quarter cup of sugar (I used less not a sugar fan)
- Get Icing sugar and glucose (I used glucose since I had no icing)
Steps to make Sugar Doughnuts:
- Sift flour together with baking powder for easy mixing of these two.
- Mix the eggs,salt and sugar until fully incorporated then add the butter (melted) or cooking oil and mix together. Note that I used a hand mixer. Add the vanilla essence and mix well.
- Then add the flour bit by bit as you keep on mixing. It will reach a point where you'll need to use hands to knead the dough add flour if still runny
- Let the dough rest for sometime maybe ten minutes then roll as in the photo
- I used a cup and bottle top for shape but doughnut maker works best
- Use under low heat and turn only when it has started browning then turn to the other side. This will ensure it doesn't break
- When ready put in a dish to cool
- After they have cooled completely dip in a mixture of icing sugar and glucose.
